Trunk of Treats and Our Pumpkins

Trunk of Treats is a huge event at many of the churches down here and ours is no exception. Our children's ministry puts on this event and they provide bounce houses, a petting zoo, an indoor maze, food, contests, and tons of candy!! Church members decorate their trunks and pass out the candy. We have a great turn out from the local neighborhoods too.....in fact I saw more neighborhood families than church families.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but we had many shoes in our trunk. The kids thought they had to smell them before we would give them candy:)

Liam was running a little fever that night but he still enjoyed everything. We weren't sure if he would wear his costume, but once we got there and he saw everyone else in theirs he didn't complain and especially when he started getting candy!!

If you ask him if he is Lightening McQueen, he will say, "well actually, I am Weeum." He is too cute and quite articulate like big brother:)
Sunday we carved pumpkins. Landon our little artist, wanted to do everything himself and just couldn't understand why we wouldn't let him use the knives. Kevin made him help 'pull out the pumpkin brains' and at first Landon was not a fan but then he really got into it.

From left to right: Landon's, Kevin's, Mine, Liam's, and of course you know whose the two in front are!

Pumpkin Patch

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch with Kevin's parents. They were in town with us this weekend. Landon jumped in the bounce houses while Liam rode the hay ride with Granddad/GrandPop (Liam has decided that he is GrandPop...so cute). They both REALLY love their pumpkins.

By the end I was pretty exhausted, so I made Landon pull me everywhere. JK- He couldn't get me very far and I'm pretty sure I was about to bust out the back of the wagon!!!

For Keeps Design Gets Big Publicity

Sarah and I and For Keeps Design are being featured on the site Freebies4Mom (see it here) this week. We're giving away a $25 gift certificate to our store (so go enter the giveaway!) and offering a 15% coupon code to her readers. Heather, the owner of Freebies4Mom, told me this morning that she is expecting around 1,000 people to enter the contest. Wow! On top of that, she was interviewed by Inside Edition this past week (set to air on Monday) so that should really spike her website hits this week. We are super excited about what this publicity will do for getting the word out about For Keeps Design. So feel free to post this on your blog and spread the word!
And don't forget to check out our latest holiday designs. We've been uploading many new ones and a lot of them are only 99 cents! You can't beat that!

Race Day

Running for Drew were: Josh and Beckham, my dad, my brother-in-law Collin, Kevin, Liam, Lyndi, Landon, Tiffany, April and Avery, and me!

The sun was beaming down on us this morning at the race for mitochondrial disease. It was started two years ago by a family who has a little girl with the disease in our town. Last year alone the family was able to present a check for one hundred thousand dollars to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation and most of the proceeds were raised by the race and it's sponsers! So we're excited to see what they raised this year!
In case you all were worried about me racing....I didn't go....I waited at the finish line for everyone:) Landon ran for almost an entire mile! Way to go Landon! And Papa was the third man to finish the 5K! Thanks everyone for coming out and supporting Drew and the fight for a cure.

Our lives last week

Last week was very emotional for us, but we are thankful that Drew is home with our Father. Thanks to all of you for your support for the Clarks!! Landon and Liam have been praying for Drew to 'get better' for so long that they were a bit confused when we told them to thank God for bringing Drew to live with him:) Landon has prayed....that Drew would have a good bed in heaven.......that he would have trains to play with....that God would be with him every day.....that God would give him the band-aids he needs....that he wouldn't ever have to cry anymore.....and some more that I can't remember right now. Kevin went to Calgary for Drew's celebration last week and I had to stay home, but he called me often and gave me lots of details so that I could feel like I was there too.
Here are some things we did last week to occupy our time.

We watched miss Avery Kate. Three was a piece of cake for a day....:) I think four...two being newborns might be a bit more challenging!

We learned how to make hair bows thanks to my friend Erin! This is just the beginning people...I am probably going to be a little obsessed with hair bows for a while so expect to see lots of them on our girls:) I had to put some on Minnie, b/c the joke around here for the last couple years has been that I was going to start dressing her up if we never had a girl!!!!!
The hair bow holder was an unfinished picture frame that my sister and I painted and then put scrapbook rub-on's on. It is so easy. I am going to make another one and when we figure out what we are going to name the girls, I will put the letters of their names in the black circles. They will hang in their room. We are doing their room in black, white, and pink. I have decided to tackle the task (with my mom's help) of making their bedding b/c I just haven't found the perfect set! So I will post pictures of that as we work on it.

Speaking of names......I would love it if you guys could tell us some 'K' names! We are doing two 'K' names and really any name that starts with a 'C' can be switched to a 'K'. Anyway, we have pretty much settled on one name and are working on the second name....so tell us about cute 'K' names you've heard of pretty please.

And last but not least, my sister and I threw a house warming party for our friend Tiffany. No I did not do the cup cakes....Lyndi did! She did an amazing job, they looked even better in person b/c you can't see the shimmery glitter she brushed on them in these pictures. The butterflies she did out of chocolate. She melts the different colored chocolates and does her designs on wax paper...cool huh?!?
